Genetically Modified Foods (GMOs)
There are so many problems with the food industry today. These problems include animal protein, dairy, eggs, water supply, and pesticides (please refer to each category in SunCodes® blog for more information). Let’s now take a look at GMOs.
What exactly are Genetically Modified Organisms? Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are living organisms whose DNA has been artificially made in a laboratory. It creates plant, animal, bacteria, and virus genes that do not exist naturally in nature. New organisms are being created and many of us are eating them. Think of having a Ferrari and mixing some random liquids together in your garage to make gas. Would that good for your precious vehicle? Your body is your vehicle and it needs good gas. These are the foods that grow from the sun.
DNA is within every living thing. It is a series of codes that contain genetic information. These codes determine if you have the capability of getting cancer, having a stroke, or getting any other poor health condition. Our DNA also contains the codes for superior health.
Just like your body has codes, food does too! Food is information. It’s DNA codes tell YOUR DNA codes what to do! This is why it is imperative to put clean wholesome food into our bodies. That is the way to activate your body’s DNA health codes (also known as genes).
So what’s the problem with GMOs? Tumors, stomach inflammation, fatty liver disease, liver failure, urinary and bladder cancers, thyroid disease, obesity, high blood pressure, infertility, accelerated aging, immune system dysfunction, insulin problems, kidney problems, spleen problems, intestinal problems, stroke, and more. These foods are also the highest source of pesticides, so your body is getting hit heavily when you eat GMO foods. You are inviting disease codes to be activated.
Professor Gilles-Eric Seralini of the University of Caen, along with a group of scientists, conducted a 2 year study of Genetically Modified Foods (GMOs) given to labs rats. The report was originally published in the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology and demonstrated evidence of aggressive tumor growth in the animals.
Monsanto (now Bayer) is a multinational agricultural biotechnology corporation based in the United States. They are the patent holders of the Genetically Modified Seeds used to grow GMO foods. They are world’s leading producer of Roundup®, a pesticide with the active ingredient glyphosate. The World Health Organization (WHO) has deemed glyphosate ‘probably carcinogenic to humans’.
Translation: “GMOs probably cause cancer in humans.”
There are two ways to avoid purchasing Genetically Modified foods in the store.
- Choose Organic: these foods will not be saturated with pesticides and will not be Genetically Modified. These products are best.
- Choose Non-GMO: look for the Non-GMO Project label with the butterfly; these items will not be Genetically Modified but will still contain toxic pesticides. These products are second best.

Choosing Organic soy, canola, corn, and sugar alone, can make a tremendous positive impact on your overall health.
Beware of sugar! The most common source of GMO sugar is High Fructose Corn Syrup. It has cleverly been renamed Isolated Fructose so be sure to read all ingredient labels well!
If it’s sweet, it’s GMO unless you see the butterfly or organic seal!
The best way to avoid GMO is by purchasing 100% Organic. That means the food is in its original Health-Promoting form. Start by choosing organic corn, organic soy, organic canola and organic sugar sources. Next choose organic fruits, veggies, grains, beans & legumes!
